The curriculum

Module 01

01 · What the score actually measures

The trust score is not an average of stars. It combines verification, volume, recency, moderation history and dispute outcomes.

  • The five score components and how they interact
  • Why one strong month can't 'game' the number
  • How the score decays without ongoing verified activity
Module 03

03 · Moderation & disputes

Every action we take is logged in the public trust ledger. This module explains how that log is built and how to use it.

  • How disputes are opened, evidenced and resolved
  • The false-positive rate we publish each quarter
  • What a suspended review looks like on a public profile
Module 04

04 · Reading a business profile

A step-by-step guide to inspecting a business profile — for consumers and journalists.

  • Which sections tell you the most in 30 seconds
  • Red flags: burst patterns, thin history, template language
  • Green flags: sustained cadence, photo evidence, owner replies

Common questions

Can a business pay to raise its score?

No. The trust score is derived entirely from verified customer activity, moderation outcomes and time. There is no paid tier, no removal-for-fee and no ranking boost for subscribers.

How often does the score update?

Continuously. New verified reviews, disputes, and time decay all recompute the score on ingestion. Public changes are traceable in the trust ledger.

Can I appeal a low score?

There is no direct appeal — because there is nothing subjective to appeal. What you can do is dispute specific reviews you believe are fake, and improve the score components you control: cadence, verification tier and reply rate.
