Moderation

Report a review

Anyone — reviewer, business or member of the public — can report a review on ScoreReviews UK that may breach our published policies. Reports are confidential and handled by an independent moderation team.

When to report a review

If a review appears fake, incentivised, defamatory, contains personal data, infringes copyright, describes the wrong business, or breaches our published review policy.

What information to include

The review URL, the policy you believe is breached, a short description of why, and any supporting evidence (screenshots, invoices, correspondence). The more specific the report, the faster the resolution.

How to submit

Use the report link on any review card, or email moderation@scorereview.uk. Reports from logged-in business accounts are tied to your account so we can request additional evidence.

What happens next

We acknowledge every report within one working day, complete a first decision within five working days, and notify the reviewer and the business of the outcome with reasons.

Escalation

If you disagree with our decision, you can escalate to the independent moderation board. The board is external to ScoreReviews UK and its decisions are binding on us.

What we publish

The outcome of every moderation decision is logged on the business profile's public moderation history with a categorised reason. Reviewer identity is never published.
