Trust Ledger v2 is the largest infrastructure change we have shipped in 12 months. Every verification event — invitation issued, evidence uploaded, moderation decision — now emits a hash to a public, append-only ledger. Any third party can verify a review's provenance without our cooperation.
What is anchored
Verification tier, verification date, evidence hash (never the evidence itself), moderation action IDs, and dispute outcomes. Personal data is never on the ledger.
What buyers get
Click any verification badge to see the ledger anchor. Cross-reference the timestamp with the review itself. If they disagree, something has been tampered with.
What businesses get
A provable trust chain for insurance, procurement and enterprise sales. 'You cannot demonstrate provenance' is no longer a defensible objection.
- Cryptographic anchors per event
- Public verification endpoint
- No PII on chain
- Backwards-compatible with all v1 badges
What is next
Q1 2026: signed export bundles for enterprise buyers. Q2: cross-platform reviewer-graph attestations under the industry-consortium MOU. Q3: opt-in consumer-side ledger receipts.
FAQ
Does this affect existing reviews?
No — every existing verified review is migrated with a back-dated anchor computed from stored evidence. No action required.
Can I inspect the ledger myself?
Yes — /trust/ledger publishes the endpoint and the verification recipe in full.

Really practical breakdown — the four-part reply structure is now on our till-side crib sheet. Thank you.

Went from 12 reviews to 47 in three months following almost exactly this playbook. It works.
